Historic Manor Restoration

This project involved the careful restoration of the western wing of a historic manor in Robertson, with a clear focus on preserving the building’s architectural integrity while ensuring long-term structural stability.

The scope of works centred on safeguarding the existing structure. Foundations and key support beams were restored using traditional materials and techniques, allowing the building to retain its original character while meeting contemporary safety requirements.

Architectural elements were treated with restraint and respect. The gabled roof form and Tudor-Gothic influences were preserved, maintaining the manor’s distinctive identity. Premium timber rafters were incorporated to reinforce the structure while remaining consistent with the original construction language.

Custom-designed joinery was introduced where required, carefully detailed to sit comfortably within the historic fabric of the building. Every intervention was considered, ensuring that new work supported the existing architecture rather than competing with it.

The result is a restoration that honours the building’s history and craftsmanship — securing its beauty and legacy for the future while remaining faithful to its original intent.
