Family Home Extension

This project involved a considered extension to a family home in Russell Vale, designed to support the evolving needs of a growing household. The focus was on creating generous shared living spaces alongside quieter areas for rest, retreat and privacy.

The home was expanded to accommodate open-plan living, encouraging connection and flexibility throughout the day. These spaces were carefully detailed to balance practicality with architectural clarity, supporting active family life without compromising on finish or comfort.

Material selection was guided by durability and longevity. Terrazzo floor tiles and polished concrete floors provide robust surfaces well suited to family living, while elements such as woven pendant lighting and a floating timber vanity introduce warmth and texture.

The result is a home that feels both functional and refined — a family-focused renovation that balances modern design with everyday usability, creating a safe and comfortable environment designed to grow with its occupants.
